Checkmate Chess Academy is a professional chess training academy created to help children learn chess with confidence, discipline, and clear thinking.
Our academy offers structured online and offline chess classes for beginners, intermediate students, and tournament-focused players.
Founded by Coach Ameer, a FIDE Rated player with 9,200+ hours of online coaching experience, the academy focuses on practical learning, tactics, strategy, and tournament preparation.
We now serve students through our branches in Kodaikanal, Bodinayakanur, and Kayalpatnam, along with live online classes for students in India and abroad.
Founder & Head Coach
Coach Ameer is the Founder and Head Coach of Checkmate Chess Academy. He brings strong experience in school chess programs, academy coaching, and international online chess training.
- Professional Experience: Kodaikanal International (IB) School (2025–Present), Think Chess Academy Online (2021–Present), Iqra International School Kodaikanal (2022–Present), Bhavan’s Gandhi Vidyashram Kodaikanal (2019), AKT CBSE School Kallakurichi (2018–2019), and King Anand Chess Academy Tindivanam (2012–2018).
- Academy Training Strength: Structured chess programs for children, school students, beginners, improving players, and tournament-focused learners.
- Academy Strengths: Friendly coaching, disciplined lesson plans, regular practice guidance, puzzle training, game analysis, and student-friendly improvement methods.
- Founder Highlights: FIDE Rated Player, AFM title holder, and experienced coach for students from India and abroad.
